Hiking safety

If you plan to go hiking during your stay we recommend following a few guidelines.

Please first & foremost make sure that someone knows where you’re headed. Wether it’s us, a family member or you register your trip. BEST TO BE SAFE RATHER THAN SORRY.

Always check the forecast, it may be sunny and beautiful but the weather can change dramatically & unexpectedly.

Please make sure to stay on the track unless you are an experienced hiker and we recommend downloading the NSW National Parks app before you arrive.

WE ALSO STRONGLY RECOMMEND PACKING THE FOLLOWING:

  • Tropical strength bug spray. (even spray your clothes)
  • 50SPF sunscreen. (reapply often, the sun is fierce)
  • Sun hat & UV protective sunglasses.

  • Plenty of food/snacks.
  • Down or very warm jacket.
  • Waterproof jacket with hood.
